After an addition of 24 yards due to the relocating of the tee to the left — a change designed to improve visibility of the fairway from the tee — the ninth is still a relatively short hole at 412 yards. A bunker on the right of the fairway, once known as ‘The Corsets’ tightens the landing area for the drive, and the undulations of the fairway can throw a ball slightly off course. The ideal line in is from the right, playing away from the major drop-off to the right of an undulating green, the front of which is protected by four bunkers. |
