The Royal St. Georges Golf Club has been host to the Open Championship on Fourteen Occasions, the most recent being in 2011 when the tournament was won by Ulsterman Darren Clarke.
Over the years, since the first Open Championship in 1894 was won by J.H Taylor, the course has been graced by many golfing legends who became the Open Champion; Harry Vardon, Walter Hagan, Henry Cotton, Bobby Locke, Sandy Lyle and Greg Norman to name a few.
